mmm squishy... but sinky... remember it is a spring and it may look well enough to walk on but you may discover a sinking feeling if you tarry too long :O)
oh and I had a fight on my hands to keep the lads from getting too close to the welling up... but they couldn't resist poking sticks around haha
these were taken about an hours walk down the beach from Piccaninnie Ponds, which is one of the main springs down this way. Piccaninnie is a name for black children, and there is a beautiful song that tells the tale of the place (Carra Barra Wirra Canna). Please Google the ponds, and see the wonders there... enjoy
